Day 1

Exercise - 1 mile in less than 20 minutes. I think I can do better, but this is still a good start!

Breakfast:

Wheat cereal, 1 medium banana and Almond (Vanilla) Milk.

Lunch was yogurt. I went to a cook out and I did have a hamburger patty and a spoonful of beans - not too bad.

Dinner:

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Yum.

2 years have passed....

And I gained everything I lost back :)

But, it's okay. It's time to move onward and upward.

Hubby has started a physician assisted diet plan and in 6 weeks, he's lost 36 lbs. I am so proud of him. Well, seeing him drop the lbs and feel so much better, I've decided to do the same.

I'm not going to follow any diet routine, just eating better and smaller portions. I will mostly be eating what he is (chicken, veggies, fish, etc.). I will add yogurt and cereal occasionally to the breakfast routine.

This morning, I got out and walked a mile! As time goes on, I will increase that to jogging and will of course increase the miles.

Here we go!!

Applebees 7 Weight Watchers points Steak and Portabellos.

The one thing I've come to love about Weight Watchers is that I have to really *think* about what I am going to eat. A lot of planning goes into meals.... especially fast food ones. In the past week, I've cooked most of our meals at home, but there are some days when I just don't have time and Chick Fil A or McDonalds is the only choice. I forgot my lunch at home today, so I've been on the WW's website trying to figure out what I can eat today. I try to stick to around 6-8 points for lunch, but if I go over, its okay. I have 35 "extra" points a week to use if I ever go over. Last night, I had 7 points left over at the end of the day :-)

I've joined Weight Watchers and I'm ready for the pounds to fall off :-) Since joining last Thursday night, I've lost 1.5 lbs.. That's not too shabby.  I'm back to eating my frozen meals for lunch, but for dinner, I've been counting points and watching servings. Hubby joined the week before me and he's already down 6 or 7 lbs! I'm very proud of him and can't wait to see the end result.
My weak area is exercise. I know that the pounds would drop faster if I could motivate myself to exercise. Right now, I have zero, zilch, nada. Do you have any tips to get motivated?

Girls weekend coming up! Hope I can stay true to my points :-)

Back on the wagon...

So, I'm back on the wagon, so to speak.... I've really had a tough time with trying decide who I am doing this weight loss thing for. Am I doing it for my husband? No, he loves my fat rolls and all :-) Am I doing it for my co-workers and the contest at work? No, they don't really care if I lose weight. Am I doing it for myself... ding ding ding. This has been the big question and I can finally say YES.

I just have to force myself to work out. My schedule is crazy right now and working out at Curves just doesn't fit into the puzzle right now. I've thought about joining a gym in town, but that doesn't really appeal to me... I have a DVD and resistance bands to try, I just haven't yet.

I have 25 lbs. left to lose and I know I can do it. I've done it before!

So, the pictures are going so well...I just forget to take them!

Last night, we had BBQ pork chops, mashed potatoes, baked beans and rolls. So yummy.

Breakfast this morning was eggs, sausage and biscuits. We've been eating pretty good, you could say :-)
